1. About BiznessKid

BiznessKid is a mobile application developed by IdeaVolte LLC that teaches children the fundamentals of business and entrepreneurship through interactive and engaging experiences. The App is intended for use by children under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. COPPA Compliance — Children Under 13

We take children's privacy very seriously and fully comply with COPPA and the FTC's revised COPPA Rule effective April 22, 2026. Specifically:

• We do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent
• A parent or legal guardian must create the account and provide consent before a child may use the App
• We do not use children's data for any commercial purpose, advertising, or to build profiles
• We do not share children's data with any third party for their own use
• Parents may review, correct, or delete their child's personal information at any time
• We do not condition a child's participation on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary
• We do not use push notifications, in-app messaging, or any other mechanism to encourage children to share personal information

3. What Information We Collect

From Parents/Guardians:

• Email address (via Google Sign-In — used for account authentication only)
• Parental consent timestamp (recorded when you agree to these terms)
• Subscription and purchase status (processed through Apple App Store or Google Play)

From Children (with parental consent):

• Nickname or first name only (parents are instructed not to use full names)
• Emoji avatar and background color selection
• In-app progress: XP points, level, and streak count
• Business idea text entered during the brainstorm and mission flows
• Prompt responses (creative writing responses to entrepreneurship questions)

Automatically Collected:

• Device type and operating system version (for app compatibility)
• App crash reports and error logs (for bug fixing only)
• Session authentication tokens (stored locally on device only)

4. What Information We Do NOT Collect

We are committed to minimal data collection. We do NOT collect:

• Full real names of children
• Physical addresses of children or parents
• Phone numbers
• Photos or videos of children
• Precise geolocation data
• Device advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID)
• Behavioral tracking or usage analytics data
• Social security numbers or financial information
• Any information that would allow a child to be contacted outside the App
• Health information

5. Third-Party SDKs and Data Collection

In compliance with the FTC's revised COPPA Rule effective April 22, 2026, we have carefully audited all third-party software in our App. Here is a complete disclosure of every third-party service and what data, if any, it accesses:

No advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics SDKs, or data broker SDKs are present in this App. We do not use Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tracking service.

6. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Operate and provide the BiznessKid App and its features
• Save and sync a child's in-app progress across sessions
• Generate AI-powered business summaries using only the business text the child enters
• Process subscription purchases made by parents
• Provide customer support to parents and guardians
• Ensure the safety and security of the App
• Fix bugs and improve app performance
• Comply with legal obligations including COPPA

We do NOT use any information for advertising, marketing profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond operating the App.

7. Parental Rights Under COPPA

As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to:

• Review all personal information collected from your child — accessible via the Parent Dashboard in the App
• Correct inaccurate information about your child
• Delete your child's personal information and your account — available via the Delete Account option in the Parent Dashboard
• Refuse further collection of your child's information by deleting the account
• Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or deleting your account

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell children's personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own use. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Our own backend infrastructure: All child data is stored on our own servers. No child data is shared with or accessible to any third party service.
• AI generation (Anthropic Claude API): Business idea text (not names or identifiers) is sent to generate summaries. This text is not stored by Anthropic for our use beyond the immediate request.
• Apple App Store / Google Play: Platform-required data sharing governed by their respective privacy policies.
• Legal authorities: When required by law or to protect the safety of children.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption of all data in transit using HTTPS/TLS
• Encrypted local storage on device using secure storage APIs
• Authentication tokens stored securely and never in plain text
• Restricted access to our backend database
• Regular security assessments

In the event of a data breach affecting children's information, we will notify affected parents promptly and in accordance with applicable law.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain children's personal information only as long as necessary to provide the App's services. When an account is deleted:

• All child profile data is deleted immediately from our active database
• All prompt responses and business plan data are deleted
• All company files are deleted
• The parent account record is deleted
• Any remaining backup copies are purged within 30 days

To delete your account and all associated data, go to Founder HQ → Settings icon → Parent Dashboard → Delete Account.

11. Push Notifications and Communications

BiznessKid does not send push notifications to children. We do not send marketing emails to children. We may send transactional emails to the parent's email address for account-related matters such as password reset or subscription confirmation.

12. Users Outside the United States

BiznessKid is operated from the United States. If you or your child are located outside the United States, information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We comply with applicable data protection laws for all users regardless of location.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes affecting children's privacy, we will notify parents by email before the changes take effect and obtain fresh consent where required by COPPA. The current version will always be available at biznesskid.com/privacy.html.
